Hey this is pretty awesome. If you have a preferred location for feedback please let me know also tell me if you would prefer I shut up and not hassle you about all the nitpicky problems. I don’t have a programming background so ill prolly mention things that sound easy but are actually hard to implement.
The title bar within the indicator applet that should say Gmail Notifier shows up blank for me.
In my opinion the ideal setup would be to go to the gmail inbox when the title bar is clicked. Below the title bar there would be a separate line for each new email with sender and subject displayed. If any of these were clicked it would direct not to the inbox but the actual email.
There are a few uses that I am undecided on the ideal way to handle. First I have an unread email that has been in my box for months and I intend to keep it as unread so I do not forget about it. It would be nice if each time gmail notifier started it did not notify me via a notification bubble or changing the indicator applet icon that this email is their, however, it would still be useful I think to see the email in the indicator applet drop down.
Secondly sometimes I leave gmail open in the browser and reach new mail without accessing it via the indicator applet. If this happens it would be nice for gmail notifier to recognize that these have been read (I have not actually had time to test if this is already the case yet).
Wow so I blabber alot obviously you have gotten me a bit excited. keep it up and many thanks

Thanks for the input Elias, I’ll see if I can integrate all those things into the next release.

Ok biggest annoyance so far. Every time I read an email it sends a notification bubble saying I have new mail and changes the notification-icon rather than simply reporting fewer new messages in the drop down menu.
